The former Lagos state commissioner of police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav has described the pardon granted by President Goodluck Jonathan to former governor of Bayelsa, Diepreye Alamieyesiegha as the pursuit of a tribal agenda.
Tsav, who spoke to Thisday Wednesday in Kano, said the rationale behind the pardon is for Alamieyesiegha to support Jonathan in 2015, saying that entire exercise was solely aimed at pardoning the former governor, giving it credence by including some other Nigerians.
“Instead of the President to grant amnesty to Boko Haram, he granted pardon to some people, so the pardon is only meant for his former Governor whom he served as his deputy not for the interest of the country because he is a tribal president," he said.
