APC Presidential Rally: Enugu APC Assembles 250,000 Supporters for Buhari

Ahead of Saturday’s visit of the Presidential candidate of the All progressives Congress APC, General Muhammadu Buhari to Enugu State, the state chapter of the Party says it is mobilizing about two hundred and fifty thousand (250,000) of her members across the state to receive the Party’s Presidential candidate.

Enugu State Chairman of the Party, Barrister Ben Nwoye confirmed this to journalists on Friday.

He expressed delight at what he described as the rising hope of the people for positive change in the government of the Country in 2015.

“The people are ready to receive the incoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari. On the 31st of December, 2014, the prophetic message came that the days of bad luck are gone. The people are ready to receive Buhari, the incorruptible General. They are anxious and curious to receive their general and his visit shall mark a new beginning in the state.

“It shall also seal and unveil the incoming administration in the state, to be headed by Barrister Okey Ezea, with Barrister Juliet Ibekaku, an anti-corruption expert as Deputy. The long expected change has come”, he stated.
Also speaking, Director General of Okey Ezea Campaign Organisation, Ifeanyi Nweke esq expressed confidence that the APC Presidential candidate’s visit to the state would be memorable.

According to him: “We are drumming support for him and we need a change and since the change agent is coming to the state, the people are eager to receive him and show solidarity for their gubernatorial candidate, Chief Okey Ezea and his Deputy, Barrister Juliet Ibekaku.”

Similarly, a Political pressure group, Team Okey Ezea Support group says it had concluded plans to mobilize thousands of its members across the state to receive the APC Presidential candidate.

Public Relations Officer of the group, Comrade Donatus Okonna, who disclosed this to newsmen in Enugu reiterated the group’s readiness to make General Buhari’s visit a memorable one.

He lamented over what he described as the continued looting of the state treasury by the ruling Peoples’ Democratic party-led administration in the state and vowed that patriotic Enugu citizens shall end the fraudulent reign.

“Our people are in pains. We are suffering in the midst of plenty. The greatest problem of Enugu state is unending corruption that has become a tradition in public institutions. The time to end it is now. We have identified an illustrious son, who represents change in our state as our next governor, in the person of Okey Ezea.

“We went further to appeal to an anti-corruption expert, Barrister Juliet Ibekaku to join the people’s revolution by being the Deputy Gubernatorial candidate. The duo are corruption-free and have clean slates, unlike their opponents. With this team, there is hope for Enugu state. We are stopping at nothing in ensuring that this wind of change is sustained. Nobody can rig Enugu elections again. The people are more than ever ready to vote out the corrupt PDP government.”

The APC Presidential Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari is expected in Enugu tomorrow, in continuation of his nationwide campaign tour, ahead of the February 14th Presidential election.
